How to Get U.S. Open Golf Tickets for 2022

U.S. Open Golf Tickets

The toughest challenge in golf is back again in 2022. The 122nd edition of the U.S. Open will take place at The Country Club in Brookline, Massachusetts, for the fourth time in history. We are excited to see what challenges this course will present to the world’s best golfers. If you want to attend, you will have to purchase U.S. open golf tickets.

Interestingly, all of the previous three U.S. Opens that have taken place at this course have ended in a tie-breaker. Seeing as history repeats itself, we are expecting next season’s championship to be one of the best yet.

The tournament is the third of the four major championships that take place throughout the year. It will take place from June 13 to 19, 2022.

The Brookline Country Club is best characterized by its small greens and extensive rough that circles multiple greens at the course, forcing players to approach from the air. It’s renowned as the site of the 1999 Ryder Cup, where the U.S. secured the trophy in what has been dubbed the battle of Brookline for its dramatic conclusion.

That will make for excellent watching come June. So, to avoid disappointment, make sure you get your U.S. Open tickets as soon as you can!

Where to Buy Your U.S. Open Golf Tickets

Reigning champion Jon Rahm is back again to defend his title at the U.S. Open. After an up-and-down year on tour, Rahm has claimed his first major title, rising up a stacked leaderboard of players to champion the incredibly difficult course at the Torrey Pines Golf Club in San Diego.

However, it looks as though he has his work cut out for him for hanging onto that trophy. With so many young players coming into form at the back end of the season, hitting low scores in some of the biggest tournaments of the year, you are not going to want to miss out on some of the most incredible golf games.

Typically, fans can purchase tickets through the PGA Tour or the United States Golf Association’s (USGA) websites.

The most reliable and secure place to pick up your tickets is via the USGA ticketing site. Here, fans have the option to buy daily, weekly or hospitality tickets. I also recommend securing a weekly ticket or a hospitality package to one of the Open’s special galleries or gardens. Of course, fans will pay a higher price for these tickets, but if you are keen to see the U.S. Open champion walking down the 18th fairway, these hospitality packages are great options to help you savor the moment. But you will need to register your interest to secure these tickets.

Daily access tickets are a lot cheaper and provide fans with more flexibility for when you want to go. You can buy a full week of daily access tickets or just the individual days you wish to attend. My favorite days to go are Thursday and Friday, as here you will get to see the most golf from the best golfers, as well as your favorites.

You’re able to register with the USGA to receive updates for when tickets will go on sale. For a ground pass to the U.S. Open, fans should expect to pay anywhere upwards of $100. Ticket prices also skyrocket for Sunday tickets at the event, with SeatGeek reporting prices for Sunday ground passes costing around $460. However, I advise fans to hold off on buying tickets from anywhere other than the official USGA website until tickets go on general sale officially.

If you are traveling from further afield to the event, travel packages will likely be going on sale this fall.

What If You Have a Ticket and Can't Attend?

If you have a spare ticket or cannot attend the event yourself, you can sell your ticket on sites like StubHub to other real fans for face-value price. The great thing about StubHub is that you do not need to do any of the leg work. It takes less than five minutes to sell your tickets on the platform, and you do not need to worry about posting the tickets. Operating digitally, StubHub will send the tickets to your buyers and will get you paid in minutes.

It pays to be on the ball when it comes to securing your U.S. Open tickets. With the world’s best golfers squaring off for the toughest challenge in golf, tickets are set to be in high demand. For that reason, fans should sign up to the USGA’s ticketing mailing list to stay updated with ticket releases and to ensure they avoid the disappointment of missing out on tickets for the 122nd U.S. Open.
