Hip-Hop Concerts 2022
For all hip-hop fans, if you haven’t been to a live performance this year, then you are in luck because there are still many concerts happening around the states for the remainder of the year. We will outline the best hip-hop concerts in 2022.
1. Kendrick Lamar’s Big Steppers Tour Featuring Baby Keem
The Big Steppers Tour begins on July 19th and runs until September 17th in the U.S. This is not to be missed. Lamar last performed alongside Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige and Dr. Dre in February at the Super Bowl halftime show.
This tour promises to deliver with the Big Steppers, featuring Kodak Black, Sampha, Summer Walker and Blxst, following the release of their fifth studio album “Mr. Morale." Tickets are available online at Ticketmaster from around $100 to $500 depending on the venue and the seats. The tour spans from New York, Philadelphia and all the way to California.
2. Post Malone’s Twelve Carat Tour Featuring Roddy Ricch
American rapper, singer and songwriter, Austin Richard Post, better known as Post Malone, has become a global celebrity for his ability to blend genres of hip-hop, pop, rap and trap. He will be on tour in the U.S. from September 10th to November 16th. Known for his famous face tattoos, Post Malone puts on a show to remember, so don’t miss out on one of his shows coming to a city near you.
Some of the areas he will be performing in are San Francisco, Chicago, St. Louis, Boston, Detroit, Philadelphia, New York and even down south in Nashville and Dallas. Tickets can be purchased for as little as $100 to around $530 for VIP tickets at Ticketmaster.
3. Bruno Mars
Known for his hit single “Marry You" in 2010, Bruno Mars has been around for over a decade and has become a beloved artist for most hip-hop fans. With his Grammy Award winning track “Uptown Funk," this Hawaian-born artist comes from a very musical family, so it is no wonder he has risen to stardom. This year Bruno Mars will be doing a short tour that starts August 3rd to 19th in Las Vegas. He will then perform in National Harbour September 1st to 2nd and end the tour in Boston September 7th, 9th and 11th.
Tickets are available at Ticketmaster and start from over $200 to a whopping $750 for VIP tickets at the Vegas venue.
4. Gorillaz’ North American Tour Featuring EarthGang
This animated virtual four-man band has been a phenomenon since they formed in 1999 and hit the music scene with their hit single “Clint Eastwood" in 2001, reaching number 57 on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart. Also known for their ability to genre-blend, they are one of the world’s most favorite hip-hip bands to date. Their debut album even got them the title of “The Biggest Virtual Band" in the Guinness World Record.
The Gorillaz North American tour is the first one in four years, so get your tickets immediately if you don’t want to miss this visual and audio experience. The tour starts in Vancouver on September 11th and makes stops in cities like Seattle, Los Angeles, Phoenix, Chicago and Brooklyn. It closes on October 23rd in Miami. Tickets are available at Ticketmaster from $60 to $240.
5. Nelly
Two-time Grammy Award winner Nelly continues to deliver fresh sounds with hits such as “Country Grammar" and “Hot in Here," soon becoming one of the most played songs of all time. Even though Nelly has also ventured into acting, he is also one of U.S.’s most beloved hip-hop artists, so if you are a fan, then grab a ticket to one of his concerts that are still happening over the next three months.
Nelly will be performing until October 21st in California, South Dakota, Iowa, Montana, New York, Washington, Oregon and Louisiana. Tickets can be purchased online at Ticketmaster between $50 to $300 depending on the venue and seating.
