Best Music Festivals in the U.S.
Festival season is back! Keep reading as we take you through the top six festivals coming up this year.
1. Sol Blume Music Festival
The Sol Blume music festival is an annual event that takes place in Sacramento, California. It started in 2018 and has quickly become one of the most anticipated music festivals in the state. The festival showcases a diverse lineup of artists, featuring genres like R&B, soul, hip-hop and electronic music.
The festival takes place at the Cesar Chavez Plaza, a beautiful park in the heart of Sacramento. The park is transformed into a music wonderland, complete with multiple stages, art installations, food trucks and vendors. The festival attracts music lovers from all over the country, with attendees coming from as far as New York and Texas.
The festival has a strong emphasis on diversity and inclusivity, with the organizers making a conscious effort to showcase artists from different backgrounds and cultures. In addition to music, the festival also features discussions and workshops on social issues, such as racial justice and mental health.
One of the highlights of the Sol Blume music festival is the artist lineup, which is carefully curated to showcase both emerging and established artists. Some of the notable acts that have performed at the festival in the past include Miguel, Jhené Aiko, Smino and Ari Lennox.
2. Coachella (Indio, California)
We’re heading back to the desert for perhaps America’s most famous music festival. While this year’s concert has already passed, we are still going to talk about it because it is one of the best to attend, and we want you to be pumped up for next year.
Fans from all around the world flocked to California for this year’s gathering, and the lineup was amazing, to say the least. Rage Against the Machine, Calvin Harris, Travis Scott and Frank Ocean all performed at the concert in 2022. If that was the lineup for 2022, imagine the possibilities for 2023!
But being the popular festival that it is, Coachella usually has a waitlist for tickets. You can purchase tickets for one of the best music festivals in the U.S. safely via the festival’s official ticket site. Right now they still have their 2022 passes up, but this will eventually change to their 2023 passes, so revisit their site when the time is right. Avoid buying Coachella tickets through unauthorized sources, as scammers like to deceive desperate people looking for access to the festival.
If you do buy a resale ticket, do not pay over the cost of a standard week ticket, which currently sits at around $449 plus booking fees.
3. Electric Daisy Carnival (Las Vegas, Nevada)
If you are in Vegas and you like EDM music, then you are not going to want to miss this festival of dance. The carnival has passed for this year, but we want to get you excited for next year. The entertainment is worth it.
The Electric Daisy Carnival graced the desert plains of Nevada this year, having previously visited Mexico, the U.K. and Puerto Rico.
But this year, celebrating its return, the festival hosted some of EDM’s biggest beatmakers, including Martin Garrix, Tiësto and The Chainsmokers.
When available, you can get tickets on Electric Daisy Carnival’s official website. Be sure to act quickly to ensure your attendance at the music festival in 2023.
Once you have booked your tickets, you will want to plan your trip to the festival in advance. Whether you are planning on camping at the festival (note it will be hot), or whether you are booking accommodation, act quickly to avoid disappointment.
The festival also advises patrons to rideshare or use the festival’s shuttle services to get them to and from the festival grounds safely and without any delay.
4. Austin City Limits Music Festival (Austin, Texas)
The festival season returns to the south this October 7 to 9 and 14 to 16, with the Austin City Limits Music Festival (ACL) once again taking over Zilker Park for the City’s biggest music festival.
Across eight stages, you will find some of the biggest and best names in the music industry performing, including DaBaby, DojaCat and even Stevie Nicks!
The music festival takes place over two weekends and is renowned for hosting some of the best independent food stalls and caterers at its critically acclaimed festival.
There are plenty of other activities aside from food and music for patrons to get involved in. Take a chill from the rave and kick back in one of the luxury BBQ gardens or get your groove on at one of ACL’s silent discos.
Limited tickets are still available for the festival. So, visit their website, and buy your ticket to the biggest and best music festival of the year.
5. New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival (New Orleans, Louisiana)
Building atmosphere and community through the power of jazz music, the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival is another must-attend event for any music lover in the U.S. While the event has passed for 2022, be on the lookout for spring of 2023.
It’s also one of the oldest festivals on this list. It celebrated its 51st anniversary this year, with its first festival taking place back in the 1970s and still featuring many local artists playing the music of the city.
Along with many jazz and blues artists, the festival also welcomed some of the world’s biggest musicians, including the Foo Fighters, Stevie Nicks and Lizzo.
The full lineup for the 2023 festival will be released closer to the event, and the tickets will be available on their website.
6. Burning Man (Black Rock Desert, Nevada)
Perhaps the most amazing music festival on this planet and perhaps the only one to have its airport, Burning Man is much more than a music gathering. It takes place from August 28 to September 5, 2022.
The Burning Man music festival has grown into a community where thousands of fans flock annually to revel in the food, music, good vibes and entertainment.
Most people just go to meet up with their friends once a year in one of the most unique locations.
Fans gather annually in the Nevada desert in a horseshoe formation known as Black Rock City and marvel at the festivities and events taking place at the festival.
No official lineup has been announced for the festival, but you can be sure to catch famous acts, amazing shows, fire events and motorcades, which give off a post-apocalyptic “Mad Max” vibe.
You can find more information about their tickets and passes on their website.
